Manuel Diaz

Director
ANZIA B.Arch

Manuel is a Director at Peddlethorp, with over 20 years as design lead and architect on large, complex projects across Argentina, Australia and NZ.

Manuel’s particular strength lies in the resolution of complex, highly technical and engineered projects, seeking design clarity in the juxtaposition of architecture, science, history and artistic expression.

Manuel keenly participates in the improvement and shaping of the wider architecture and property industry, is involved with Property Council New Zealand and has a long-standing academic collaboration with Unitec. He is deeply passionate about providing world-class social housing for New Zealanders with Kāinga Ora and collaborating with Mana Whenua to design places and communities that reflect Aotearoa’s rich cultural history. He has published several thought pieces on the future of Social Housing, DfMA and Modern Methods of Construction.

Manuel is dedicated to creating a forward-thinking work culture that supports the development of emerging talent.

Manuel often indulges the office with a carefully curated playlist of future music classics, while coming up with ways to bring back the next iteration of the Peddlethorp band (est. 2016).
