Director
FNZIA B.Arch
Richard is a director of Peddlethorp, one of our most experienced leaders, and the principal architect of our unique research-based design approach.
He has worked on projects across Auckland and throughout New Zealand, ranging from city-scale master planning and large buildings, through to bespoke housing and retail – many of them award-winners.
Alongside his architectural work, Richard has developed a practice-wide research-based design discipline which unearths the unique opportunities of each site and brief, and aligns these with masterful architectural craft to deliver carefully scaled, authentic, enduring buildings.
Richard has tutored to Masters level at University of Auckland, undertaken governance roles with NZIA and Property Council of NZ, chaired the recent NZCIC Guidelines review and contributed to several major industry initiatives.
He has seawater in his blood.
