Urban apartment briefs do not generally specify a large, private garden and generously sized kitchens. These two considerations drove the design of this project in Auckland’s Remuera.

With extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing, all apartments make the most of their garden outlook. Most are dual-aspect, to enjoy sun at different times of the day, and all include an internal deck or ‘winter garden’. Each of the four buildings enjoys its own view.
The client wanted each residence to have a full, family-sized kitchen, and even the two bedroom apartment feature a 4.2 metre bench space.
In designing, we focused on position in the neighbourhood – elegant and contemporary but still with a touch of tradition. It is constructed of durable, elegant materials worthy of its place on one of Remuera’s principal streets.
