Peddlethorp’s track record in Grade A office towers was instrumental in securing the anchor tenant, Simpson Grierson, for Manson Developments’ first foray into the premium office market. The building’s striking, unified appearance is generated by a diagonal linking roof form that meets the façade ‘sails’. This form disguises the otherwise highly efficient 1300m2 floor plates.

The Level 9 Shortland Street lobby connects to the city as a business lounge, displaying a remarkable collection of large-scale artworks by New Zealand and international artists. At the upper levels are Simpson Grierson’s offices, which Peddlethorp, in concert with Geyer (Melbourne), undertook as an integrated fitout.
The Simpson Grierson spaces include conference and entertainment facilities and rooftop decks with commanding harbour views, linked to the client reception area by a dramatic, helical stair.
