Peddlethorp was recently invited by a leading hotel and hospitality provider to participate in a design competition with two other leading New Zealand architecture practices for the design of a new hotel in Queenstown.

The development of the concept involved deep research into the historical uses of the site, its cultural heritage and significance. The building’s form and material selections drew strong inspiration from the natural features of the surrounding region including the mountainous landscapes, lakes, and glacial formations. Our response – ‘Lanterns on the lake’.
