The 42 storey Vero Centre is one of New Zealand’s premier office buildings, and introduced many new elements that have since become the benchmark for commercial developments – monospace lifts, panellised curtain walls systems, double glazing, and a multi-function street-side lobby.

The building’s procurement method was also new, being one of the first ‘novated’ design build contracts. Innovative design partnering was a feature of the project – the building was designed in partnership with PTW Sydney, and the lobby in partnership with Noel Lane Architects. The project received an NZIA award for interior design, and international awards for efficiency in energy use.
